When it comes to weddings, I come with an open-minded approach. I don't adhere to a strict shot list or preconceived notions of how the day should unfold. My only expectation from clients is that they deeply love each other and understand the significance of their relationship. I trust that from this foundation, beautiful moments will naturally emerge, fostering an atmosphere where joyful memories thrive. My aim isn't to turn your event into a staged photoshoot; rather, I aim to approach it as a guest, seamlessly blending in to capture genuine connections and emotions, just with a camera in hand.

FAQs

  • Since summer of 2016, and I've been photographing weddings since 2020!

  • This should be your first and foremost question, as this is the style of photography that interests you.

I embrace a documentary style when capturing events and sessions, focusing on authentic moments and natural interactions. My primary goal is storytelling, ensuring each client’s gallery contains a diverse range of images that narrate a cohesive story.

I love incorporating movement, using guided poses with subtle, natural motions to achieve a specific look. To tie it all together, I provide direction and prompts to capture genuine emotions.

  • My packages offer different deliverables, but I always include more images than specified. I don’t set a strict cutoff number because these are your memories, and I promise to capture them fully, providing you with more than enough images to remember this time in your lives. Additionally, I do not upsell when delivering your gallery.

  • No, as I believe editing the images is an essential part of the creative process; without it, the images are incomplete. I promise never to leave out any photos you'll want or need, and if you think I've missed a photo, please let me know! I'll be more than happy to double-check my images and send it over to you.

  • I always require a retainer fee to secure your spot on my calendar.

For Weddings, the remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding day.

For photo sessions, the remaining balance is due on the day of the photoshoot.

I strive to present the total cost at the time of signing the agreement to avoid any unexpected fees later.

Additional fees will only apply for unforeseen expenses at the time of the event, such as entrance fees, parking, tolls, permits, etc.

  • I don’t alter your appearance beyond addressing skin blemishes, minor iris enhancements, or temporary issues like bruises, scrapes, or acne, unless you specifically request otherwise. For hair retouching, I only edit stray strands that detract from the image, leaving the rest natural even in windy conditions. I do not aim for 'editorial' or 'magazine-like' edits. If you’re self-conscious about something, please let me know, and I’ll be extra mindful of it while posing you.

  • For weddings, it's advisable to book your photographer at least 12 months in advance, especially if you have a specific photographer in mind. If you're certain about booking a particular photographer, it's best to secure their services as soon as possible. However, for weddings on weekdays (Monday through Thursday), you can typically wait until 6 months before to secure a photographer, as many will likely still be available. Elopements usually require booking 2 to 3 months ahead. For other types of sessions such as family, maternity, surprise proposals, or portraits, booking 1 to 2 months before your desired date is typically sufficient.

  • Yes, I require a contract to secure your booking. A contract protects both you and the photographer, and it's best to hire a photographer who provides a contract detailing the services, pricing, terms, and policies.

  • Yes, I have general liability insurance. This is another important question to ask when looking for a photographer, as some venues only allow vendors who are insured to work on-site.

INFORMATION

  • Every event is unique and has different needs, so please feel free to contact me for a custom quote.

  • At no additional cost, I conduct standard editing on all of my images, including exposure correction, color correction and calibration, comprehensive and stylized color edits, sharpening, noise reduction, composition adjustments, and lens correction.

Your images are captured in raw format. During the post-production process, I handpick the final images and work with each selection to bring it to its full potential. I will then send the final high-resolution images to you.

  • Clients must pay the required retainer to secure their booking on my calendar. The final balance must be paid according to the terms of the package purchased. The retainer will be applied to the total balance. If the final balance is not paid, the photographer will not make any images available for viewing until the balance is paid in full and reserves the right to enforce the terms of the contract to obtain payment.

  • Travel fees are typically added if the photo session location is outside of Roseville or Sacramento. For destination inquiries, clients will be responsible for the cost of the flight and hotel stay.

  • I provide high-resolution images ready for print through a private online link, allowing you to view, share, and download your images.

For printing, you can take these files to your local store of choice. However, if you would like me to create high-quality prints for you, please contact me, and I'll send you my rates.

  • If the client decides to cancel their photo session, the retainer is typically non-refundable and serves as the cancellation fee.

  • If the client decides to reschedule their session, the photographer will accommodate if available, but rescheduling fees may apply.
